Standout Stories with Stickers

Standout Stories with Stickers
Friday Greetings! Stickers are a fun and versatile component in our memory keeping toolbox. This is because we can use them as flat accents, pop them up with foam to add depth, or create complex design elements. Cocoa Daisy kits contain a wide variety of stickers with phrases, quotes, and decorative elements. In fact, this versatility means our stickers can be combined to quickly and easily create a beautiful layout. Let's see how the design team used stickers in the layouts they are sharing today. "Ria notes, "Stickers have always been my favorite item inside our Cocoa Daisy kits. They make memory keeping cute and quick. I especially love using them inside my Recipe Binder. I’ve been using a Happy Planner Recipe Book to document my family’s favorite recipes. I love adding photos and decorating the pages. The recipe and reference photo I am sharing in this project are from my favorite go-to recipe website, Yummy.ph." "One item that I tend to be stingy with are the Alphabet Stickers. I have this fear of using them up. However, hoarding them need not be an issue because we are always assured of an alphabet sticker set in each kit we receive. Yay! I love using them for titles. I also love using the enamel dots as bullet points for my ingredient list. So fun!" "Do you have a Recipe Binder too? I hope that you try decorating its pages with our Cocoa Daisy kit stickers. Then like me, you may find that scrapping about a recipe is more fun than actually cooking it. Hehe! Happy sticking!" Next we have a lovely TN design with stickers by Casie. "Hi Daisy fans, Casie here with a Simple Dori layout featuring various stickers from the Tulip Time kits. I love the variety of pattern papers that come with Travelers Notebook and Planner kits. I used these papers for the background of my layout across both pages to visually connect them." On the left side, I created a slip pocket of layered papers to hold a tag with hidden journaling. These layers allowed the title to be the highlight of the page using the script lettering foam words to say 'mother's love moment'." "For the right side, I laid down the photo and then layered various stickers on top. The vertical quote sticker is from the memory keeping sticker kit. I also used the heart and arrow puffy stickers from the TNMK kit. And then finished with two tulip die cuts from the planner kit." Thank you for joining me today as I share various ways to use all the stickers from all the kits!" And finally, I am sharing a TN design with stickers from the memory keeping kits. A few weeks ago, the design team shared our Bitmoji's and it was adorable. I decided it would be fun and interesting to include my own Bitmoji in my 52 Favorites project. I began my design by cutting apart a planner dashboard with tulips and hand stitched around the flower edges to add texture. Next, I backed the stickers I chose with cardstock to give them a tiny bit of depth. Then I chose a background paper that would be the perfect base for my color scheme and the fussy tulips. I finished off the edges of the paper with the gorgeous tulip washi tape. There were so many wonderful pocket cards to choose from and I decided on the "This Week" card because it had a nice white space to hold one of the tulips I cut out and doubled as the title for my layout. I fussy cut one of the stickers to create the arrow under the text and finished of the pocket card with a stapled yellow heart from the puffy stickers included in the kits. This layout took very little time to make. Stitching around the edge of the tulips was the most time consuming part. The flowers were beautiful without the stitching and so I could have skipped that but I love stitching as it’s a stress buster for me. The vibrant stickers made it easy to create my visual triangle. We'd love to see what you are doing with the stickers in our Tulip Time kits. Please share with us in the Cocoa Daisy Fans facebook group or tag @cocoa_daisy on social media. Be well! ~Robin
