Mini Memory Keeping: Bookish Collection

Mini Memory Keeping: Bookish Collection
Hello, friends! Today we are making it mini! A mini album is a bite-size, stress-free way to document multiple photos or several moments around a similar topic. The great thing about a mini album on a specific topic is that you can continue to add to it throughout the year!

Carol Weatherspoon: Love of Reading Mini Album

Today we're talking about "mini memory-keeping" using the gorgeous Bookish Collection. I decided to do a simple 6 1/4x4 inch album with one book ring in the corner. My daughter absolutely loves to read and so I knew I wanted to use this collection to document her love of reading!

To decorate my cover, I started with two of my favorite patterned papers from the Bookish Classified: Memory Keeping Kit and the Bookish Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit as the base for the page. In the center of the page, I included one of the sentiment cards from the Bookish Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and a couple of die cuts to add some color. When you open the mini album, you see my first two pages and they are both bright and cheery. You see the beautiful patterned paper on the left page.     I used two different patterns and connected them using washi tape from the Bookish Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. I added my photo and journaling and embellished the page with a couple of die-cut pieces. I knew I didn't want to add too much bulk because I plan to continue adding to this album throughout the year capturing more moments of my little reader.   For the right side, I used a fun technique. I took a few colors of ink that matched the colorway of this collection and swiped them directly onto my paper creating a rainbow of sorts. It's so bright and fun and definitely adds even more happiness to the page. I also included a great rub-on and a few more die cuts from the Bookish Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to finish my layout. I love how this album is turning out so far and I can't wait to continue adding to it!     Share your mini memory keeping with¬†us by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media or posting to the Cocoa Daisy Fan Page.
