Hello, friends! If you love reading, the Bookish Collection is definitely for you! Use the collection to make some book-themed projects, like the one we are sharing today.

You’re not going to hand me, an avid reader, an ENTIRE book-themed collection and expect me NOT to make a book journal, are you!?!? That’s exactly what I did with the Bookish Collection and I can’t wait to add to it all year long! To create it, I simply covered the Bookish Simple Dori with that gorgeous book paper from the Bookish Classified: Memory Keeping Kit, a journaling card framed by the photo corners from the Bookish Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, and added a contrasting spine. The TN did the work from there!

I’ve already read enough this year to create one full and one-half spread, so I went ahead and established a game plan for the year in this album. I decided to use the journaling stamp + numbers from the monthly stamps we’ve been receiving in the Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to number the books and provide a spot for a quick blurb about the book I read.

I paired each journal block with the book cover + stamp of whether I listened to or read the book and a star rating created by punching stars out of the scraps of the book paper that’s on the cover. That will be the basis for the journal going forward, and then I’ll use the embellishments to jazz each spread up.

I didn’t have enough books finished to complete the second spread, so I repeated the same pattern established on the previous spread and left room for the book covers, journaling, and embellishment.

I also like adding little notes throughout about my experience of the book like this one here or the ones on other pages that talk about NOT taking recommendations from certain book groups anymore. It’s a fun and more personalized touch throughout!
