Frame It with Frost & Frolic!

Ashley Horton: Traveler's Notebook Layout

I was super excited to see the frame die cuts in the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit! I love using frames for my photos and for my embellishments. I decided to create a grid on one side of my Traveler's Notebook layout with a mix of the square and rectangle frames. I used two of the frames for photo placement and I used the other two to add in some embellishments. I wanted the frame clusters to have dimension, so I added pop dots behind one of my photos and the cute snowman die cut. After all of my frames, photos and embellishments were in place, I went back and filled in the two empty spaces in my grid with some some of the chipboard, patterned paper and a die cut from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit. I finished off the layout, by adding the adhesive pocket to the left side of the layout, and using one of the journaling cards for my journaling. I embellished the pocket with my title, using the Puffy Alpha Stickers and a couple of the chipboard pieces. Check out this Instagram Reel to see this layout come together!

Marsha Farris: Traveler's Notebook Layout

The fun die cut frames found in the Frost & Frolic Collection¬†inspired the design of my project. I used the die cuts to frame my photos, hold embellishments, and highlight my journaling on this traveler's notebook layout, documenting a sweet holiday moment.   To begin the spread, I trimmed a patterned paper from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit to use as the background. I selected two frames from the die cut pack and arranged them in a column on the page. I backed the first frame with a pink dot patterned paper to add a little color to the top of the layout. Next, I added a die cut polaroid frame to my photo and added some stamping with the Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit¬†stamp. I then used die cuts, chipboard pieces, and letter stickers to embellish the page. I also added a rub on to decorate the tag that serves as the title element.     For the other side of the spread, I followed the same design and added more die cut frames in a column on the page. I used one of the frames on my photo, and the other one holds my typed journaling. I embellished the layout simply with more chipboard stickers and die cuts.     To complete the spread, I added a few more rub-ons to the bottom of the page and stamped the date with a roller date stamp. I hope I have given you some ideas for using the frame die cuts! Watch me work in this Instagram Reel. Happy creating!

Amy Arygyros: Holiday Decorations

One of my favorite things to do is to alter found items...especially around the winter holidays. I recently had the opportunity to get a nice photo of my boys with all their all their cousins‚Ķand it hit me! This was a perfect opportunity to work on an altered project! I was looking through my stash of alterable items and found a few ornaments I picked up from the Dollar Tree last year. I grabbed my memory keeping kits from the Frost & Frolic Collection and got to work.   I removed all the original d√©cor on the ornament so that I had a blank canvas. I selected a patterned paper from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit, traced and cut the shape of the ornament. I made sure to incorporate some of the green foliage at the top of my ornament to add some interest and adhered it.   Then I began selecting a few items to embellish my ornament. The frames found in the Frost & Frolic Classified: Memory Keeping Kit and Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit were the perfect embellishment to add my photo! I pulled out the ‚Äúphoto favorite‚Äù frame and a few die cut pieces to add some layers to decorate my ornament.   I continued embellishing by adding a few glitter enamel dots on top of the die cut with the red berries, the ‚Äúdocumented‚Äù sticker from the Frost & Frolic Memory Keeping Sticker Kit‚Ķand a little messy thread. To add a little sparkle, I adhered some of the sequins from the Frost & Frolic Classified: Memory Keeping Kit. I adhered the snowflake sequins with foam pop dots to add a little more dimension. To date my project I added a tag die cut from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit, used the ‚Äúdocumented on:‚Äù sticker from the Frost & Frolic Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and then the date. I finished off my ornament by hot gluing a few of the pieces that came on the original ornament. I now have a custom ornament to hang on my tree! Happy Holiday Crafting!
