Throwback Thursday: Frost & Frolic

Throwback Thursday: Frost & Frolic
Hello, friends! We are throwing it back with a few memory-keeping designs from years past. The Frost & Frolic Collection¬†is fresh off the press, but that doesn't mean your photos and stories have to be! Consider documenting a memory from a past December to get the most out of this adorable collection.

Traci Reed: Pocket Pages

Admittedly, I didn't finish my December Daily last year. But that's ok because it gives me a chance to use even more of the Frost & Frolic Collection!   [gallery columns="2" size="full" ids="863249,863247"] Since I was starting with a page that already had a predefined pocket set up (I already did days 11 and 13) it was super easy for me to just slide in a card that I'd already made from my 7 Days of Stress-Free December Daily Prep (Day 4, using Frost & Frolic) and build my page around it! The snowman card + hats and scarves in Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit¬†are perfect for the theme and I leaned into that bold red to match the photos!

Rachel Newman: Traveler’s Notebook Spread

I'm throwing it way back, to 2011 when I got married! I have a whole photo album of our special day, but I don't have any memory-keeping spreads, so I thought it would be fun to celebrate 11 years using the Frost & Frolic Collection. For extra fun, this spread includes multiple pages and an interactive element!¬†   For the title page, I used one of the cards from the Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit as the base. Next, I built my title with puffy alpha stickers and the chipboard ampersand from the same kit, and the Beanstalk Alpha Stamp Set. To pull in the pattern paper peaking through from the other page, I trimmed a few paper scraps and place them around my title.¬† It is always fun to include a full-page photo and use the negative space for embellishments. These two embellishment clusters make a visual triangle with the title cluster from the other page. To build these clusters, I used die cuts, glitter stickers, and enamel dots all from the Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. The top cluster also acts as a tab to indicate more on the other inside of the page.¬†     On the next page, I included a favorite photo and some hidden journaling inside one of the adhesive pockets found in the Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. I like having the photo and pocket offset from each other to allow for space for embellishment below the photo and for the journaling tag to peak out about the adhesive pocket.¬†   A favorite addition to the stamp set from the Modern Memory Keeping Kit has been the definition stamps. For this collection, the "merry" definition is so perfect for the season. And let's not forget the fantastic rub-on's from the Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, complete with phrases whimsical illustrations, and watercolor paint splatters. I used one of the rub-on sentiments in this cluster, which seamlessly transferred onto the pattern paper and white background. Lastly, I used the edger stamp from the Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to help anchor the design amidst the white.¬†     Share your throwback Thursday spreads with us by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media or posting to the Cocoa Daisy Fan Page.
