Wintery Planner Layout

Wintery Planner Layout
The December Cranberry Rose kit is filled with such lovely colors and motifs. I'll be using it all winter for sure. Today I went back to my scrapbooking roots to create this winter themed planner spread. I decided that I wanted to use the beautiful soft colors and the snowflakes that came in several of the kits to design a page that invoked a quiet, glistening snowy scene. I definitely think I achieved that. I started off by using the snowflake borders that came in the Planner kit. I love how pretty and frosty they are. I cut the borders in half and used them as a border along the top and bottom. I had a few left over to use on other areas of the page. They are so pretty and sparkly.   I used the days of the week from the Planner Classified kit. I love that they are such a soft color and they went perfectly with my design. Usually I add lots of box stickers to my pages, but on this one, I used one of the design elements I always used when scrapbooking. I created little clusters of elements. I love to layer, so I did so with some of the extra snowflake border stickers, die cuts and those beautiful vellum snowflakes. I added three clusters and created a visual triangle on my page with them. I used the dot stickers to create places to write my to do lists. I also used one of the bullet stickers to create a list spot. The pretty clear sticker filled in the empty space on the right hand page. I used this snow covered tree sticker on another empty space. I love how it evokes a quiet, snowy scene! Finally, I tucked this sweet beaded clip to the bottom of my pages. I love how it peeks out from the bottom! As you can see, I created a lovely little spread that feels super winter-y. There are so many elements from the kits that can help you create a scene like this, too. You can even use the same ideas on a Memory Keeping page. Thanks for stopping by!
