TN Tuesday with Nordic Skies

Hello, friends! It's "TN Tuesday" and we are sharing our love of small-scale scrapbooking designs featuring the Nordic Skies Collection!

Ashley Horton: Traveler's Notebook Horizontal Design

I love creating layouts for my Traveler's Notebook and figuring out ways to extend my design across both pages. This wintry layout design started with the quote that I cut down from the Simple Dori from the Nordic Skies Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. I always like to find one thing in the kit that inspires me and build my layout design from there.
Once I cut down the quote for my layout, I chose another pattern from the Simple Dori to use across both of the pages. Since it wasn't long enough to go all the way across, I cut it into two pieces and then placed it behind the quote, so it would go all the way to both edges of the background paper. This gave me the base for creating the rest of my layout.
I placed the quote right along the inside edge of the left-hand side of the layout. This left room for me to add embellishments from the Nordic Skies Collection. I like to go through the Nordic Skies Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and Nordic Skies Modern Memory Keeping Kit to find a mix of adhesive-backed die cuts that go along with the theme of my photos.
I used the right-hand side of the layout to add my photos and backed them with another one of the patterned papers from the Simple Dori. I love finding ways to use the pages from the Simple Dori on my layouts! The placement of my photos worked great for adding in my title using the Grey Puffy Alpha stickers from the Nordic Skies Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. And I was also able to include some of the chipboard embellishments. I completed the look of my layout, by combining the rub-ons from the Nordic Skies Modern Memory Keeping Kit and the Nordic Skies Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. They were perfect for finishing out my page with just the right accents! Check out my process video in this Instagram Reel!
