Marsha Farris: Give It Dimension!

There are so many fun, dimensional embellishments in the Nordic Skies Collection, so I could not resist incorporating a variety of them in my layout! This spread highlights a favorite snowy photo from a trip to the Great Smokey Mountains. To begin the layout, I printed my photo at 6.5 x 8.25 inches to span across both pages and allow a white cardstock border at the bottom. I then created an embellishment cluster at the top of the photo by layering die cuts and a chipboard star. I also made a tag from trimmed patterned paper and stamped a few snowflakes onto it with the Nordic Skies Modern Memory Keeping Kit stamp using blue and gray inks. Next, I added foam dots behind one of the die-cuts to give a bit of dimension to the cluster.   Along the bottom edge of the photo, I included a line of embellishments, mixing in die cuts, chipboard pieces, and patterned paper. I love the dimension the chipboard stickers provide to the page! I then added foam dots to some of the die cuts and included more stamping with the Nordic Skies Memory Keeping Stamp Sets.   I continued the line of embellishments onto the right side of the spread using trimmed patterned paper, die cuts, and chipboard stickers. The title was then created by mixing puffy and die-cut alpha stickers. I also sprinkled a bit of white acrylic paint onto the die-cut alphas to continue the snowy theme.
