Throwback Thursday: Mix and Match Kits

Throwback Thursday: Mix and Match Kits
Hello, friends! For this "Throwback Thursday," we are refreshing a collection from last year to work with a current collection. Check out this project that seamlessly combines the two collections.

Marsha Farris: Throw Back Thursday: Mix and Match Kits

I love to mix and match collections, and this month's Wander Collection coordinated beautifully with the Wayfarer Collection from last year. I liked the pops of red in the Wayfarer Collection and thought it would work well with the blue and yellow elements from this month's kits.
To begin the layout, I selected a spread in the Wander Simple Dori to use as a base for my design. I loved the bold "Exploring" word along the edge of the page and thought it was perfect for my project documenting a family vacation day. I chose a die-cut tag and a journaling sticky note from the Wayfarer Modern Memory Keeping Kit to use on the layout. I arranged my photos and added some stamping with the stamps from the Wander Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and Wayfarer Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit with gray and navy ink. The stamps worked so well layered together!
I added some baker's twine from my stash to a die cut and adhered it to the page below my journaling. Next, I added another die-cut element to my photo and included some word and phrase stickers from the Wander Classic Sticker Kit. These stickers are perfect for adding extra interest to photos.
I used alpha die-cut stickers from the Wander Classified: Memory Keeping Kit and the alpha stamp from the Wander Modern Memory Keeping Kit to create the title. I then repeat-stamped the date using the Cocoa Daisy Roller Date Stamp and navy ink. To complete the spread, I added glitter enamel dots to a few areas on the page. This was a fun layout to make, mixing and matching elements from the Wander Collection and the Wayfarer Collection. Happy creating!
