Mini albums hold a special place in my heart, allowing me to preserve cherished memories and showcase my creativity on a smaller scale. If you're looking for a unique way to document your adventures, the acrylic tags from the Wander Classified: Memory Keeping Kit are a perfect choice. In this blog post, I’ll guide you through the process of creating a delightful 2.5x4.75 mini-tag album using this beautiful collection.
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
1 Acrylic Tags from the Wander Classified: Memory-Keeping Kit
2 Patterned papers, journal cards, and coordinating embellishments from the Wander Modern Memory Keeping Kit.
4 Photos or cut into 2.5x4.75-inch or smaller rectangles
5 Adhesives, such as glue or double-sided tape
6 Scissors and a paper trimmer
7 Alpha Stamp + Alphas from the Wander Modern Memory-Keeping Kit
Step 2: Choose Your Theme
Decide on the theme or story you want to tell with your mini-tag album. Whether it's a vacation, special event, or everyday moments, the Wander Collection's travel-inspired patterns and whimsical elements are perfect for documenting your adventures. I chose to document our own silly tradition of taking selfies at Rest Stops - we have selfies all over the South! üòÇ
Step 3: Design Your Pages
Start by selecting patterned papers that complement your theme. Cut them into 2.5x4.75-inch rectangles to match the size of your tags. Mix and match the patterns for a playful and eclectic look. Arrange the papers on each tag, leaving space for photos, journaling, and embellishments from the Wander Modern Memory Keeping Kit.
Step 4: Add Photos and Journaling
Print your favorite photos in a 2.5x4.75-inch format or trim them accordingly. Adhere the images to the designated areas on the tags. Next, write your journaling on small labels or journal spots trimmed out of the Wander Modern Memory Keeping Kit journaling cards or directly onto the tags themselves. Capturing your thoughts and memories will add a personal touch to your album.
Step 5: Embellish and Decorate
Now it's time to add embellishments! The Wander Collection includes a variety of coordinating elements such as stickers, die-cuts, ephemera, and washi tape. Use these embellishments to enhance the design of your mini album. Layer stickers and die-cuts, tuck ephemera behind photos, and create borders with washi tape. Let your creativity shine and have fun experimenting with different arrangements.
Step 6: Titles and Captions
Create titles and captions using alphabet stickers or stamps. Add titles to your pages to provide context and use captions to further describe the moments captured in your photos. For example, I used one of the stickers from the Wander Memory Keeping Sticker Kit to add a title to this page.
Step 7: Assemble Your Album
Once you've finished decorating each tag, it's time to assemble your mini album. Stack the tags in the desired order and punch a hole in the top center of each tag. Thread a coordinating ribbon, twine, or a jump ring through the holes to bind the tags together. Make sure the ribbon or twine is long enough to tie into a bow, allowing for easy flipping of the pages.
