Thankful Thursday: Doodles & Dashes II

Thankful Thursday: Doodles & Dashes II
Hello, friends!
It's Thankful Thursday and we are sharing ways to use the Doodles & Dashes II Collection to document gratitude in our memory-keeping and planners.

This time of year always calls for documenting what we're thankful for and this year is no exception. I have so much to document, certainly more than I deserve. I decided to tackle one layout and one memory of something that was new this year and I love thinking about this memory AND that I even have this memory to document.

I knew I wanted to use one of the library cards + pockets included in the Doodles & Dashes II Modern Memory Keeping Kit. First, I love them and think they are just so clever. Second, I had a lot of journaling I wanted to include and these cards and pockets are just perfect for this!
I also included the black patterned paper with the white dots because I love the high contrast, especially with the autumnal color palette. It really makes those colors shine.

Overall, the design is very simple, but there is some fun layering in each of the three clusters. I started with the simplest of the three: the stickers that are directly on the photo. This is always so fun to do! The second cluster is also on the photo, but at the bottom and combines three die cuts with one of the embossed puffy stickers from the Doodles & Dashes II Modern Memory Keeping Kit. This combination is just so pretty.

Finally, another simple cluster, starting with a circle label, a die cut with leaves, and a chipboard phrase. So simple but they definitely all help share the feeling of gratitude.

This month’s kit has so many wonderful ways to document what I am thankful for! In the Doodles & Dashes II Planner Kit, there was a gratitude sticky note along with an acrylic “Grateful” bookmark. To make it easier to use, I punched holes in mine so that it will stay at the front of my planner.

On the colorful 7 days on one page, I layered washi tape, a white label sticker, and the vellum “grateful” sticker from the Doodles & Dashes II Bible Journaling Sticker Kit.

I have always used the colorful 7 days on one page for my daily gratitude after seeing Jennifer Miller Crowder doing the same years ago! The opposite page is a pocket card “I will have Gratitude…” It’s the perfect daily reminder! I layered it on the gold leaf paper and decorated it with washi tape and my favorite enamel dots.
The Doodles & Dashes II Planner Dashboard Kit had a “Give Thanks” dashboard that I was so excited to use! I cut it down slightly (1/4 inch on each side), and adhered it to the floral & leaf paper Although my month got off to a rough start, this month’s theme is perfect for reminding me that there is something to be grateful for every day.
