One of my favorite techniques in this layout was altering the large alphabet stickers. I used the ink pad from the Willows Creative Kit to transform their original color so that I could create more contrast between those letters and the puffy letter stickers. The subtle texture from the ink application also gave the letters an organic feel, enhancing the whimsical vibe of the layout.

 

 

I chose strips of the striped patterned paper to create a soft diagonal flow, guiding the eye across the page. The illustrated willow tree and frog die cuts and rub-ons bring in playful touches, while the book-print background adds to the Hobbit storybook vibe. These elements, combined with pops of texture from the twine and stitched details, lend depth and dimension to the layout.

 

 

To finish, I added journaling and small embellishments like the weather rating tag stamped from the stamp set in the Willows Scrapbooking Kit to document the day’s highlights. These little details help tell the story, making the layout both visually appealing and meaningful. The Willows Scrapbooking Kit made it easy to capture the magic of this summer outing in a design that feels cohesive, vibrant, and full of charm.
