Jennie McGarvey: Sweet Sunflowers for Your Planner Spread
I'm drawn to the Quiet Meadow Collection for a couple of reasons. The first is the contrast in this collection. I absolutely love the vibrant colors set against the backdrop of black. It really makes everything pop!
The second is the beautiful wildflowers. They feel willowy to me with their long stems and I can envision them swaying in the breeze in a big field. My eye is always drawn especially to the sunflowers.
I knew I wanted to focus on the sunflowers in one of my weekly layouts and I am so glad I did! There are not that many individual sunflowers amongst the other beautiful blooms, so I carefully extracted each die cut from the others. I wanted to keep the focus on these beauties, so I created an ultra-simple design that would highlight the flowers and still leave room for the things I needed to record for the week.
Not only did I choose a handful of other elements from the kits to accent the sunflowers, but I also used a few Zig Clean Color Dot Markers and Zebra Mildliners to keep the focus squarely on the beautiful blooms.
