Mady Stoner: Start with the Penelope Journaling Kit Prompts!

Hi everyone! It's Mady from @mostlymady here to share a unique way to use your monthly notebook insert. I will use a page (or two) every day in February to complete one of the prompts provided in the Penelope Journaling Kit. For today's spread, I chose: "What does your self-care currently look like?" as my prompt. I used a small piece of scrapbook paper to fill the remainder of the left-side page. Then I went in and added stickers for my self-care. I embellished it with a few stickers.

On the right side of the page, I wrote in big letters what my current self-care routine includes. As a busy mom with three small kids, I'm in the mindset of easy, attainable tasks I can do every day to take care of myself. I liked making the lettering bigger so it stood out on the page. I used a mix of washi tape, rub-ons, and add-on stickers from the Penelope Journaling Kit to break it up.

I'm excited to complete the remaining prompts in the notebook. Once I've completed the prompt, I will go back in with my pink marker and highlight it, so I can see what all I have left. By the end of the month, the entire page will be pink, tying in nicely to the spread on the other page!  I wrote each of the routines using a Tombow dual brush marker, then outlined them with a Pigma Micron marker to make them even bolder.

I cut about 1/4 of the scrapbook paper to fill up the remaining blank space on the notebook page underneath the prompts. Then, I used sticker letters to spell out 'my self-care' so when I quickly flip through this notebook I will know what prompt it was. I used a sticker quote that felt so fitting for a "self-care" page and several different washi tape strips to help block and section off each phrase.
