Hello crafty friends! It’s Tai and I have a layout featuring the Penelope Simple Daisy Notebook add-on from the Penelope Scrapbook Kit. This collection, in my opinion, is stunning and sings to my floral-loving heart. All the bright colors and illustrations are perfect. I will be using every single page in this insert. For today’s project, I am using the Penelope Scrapbook Kit for the embellishments as well.

 

 

My photo features my amazing parents and my daughter at Thanksgiving. There is so much color and big smiles that I had to use it in a layout. It was originally printed as a 4x6 but I cut off a little from the top and bottom to make it a 4x4 inch square. This size worked better.

 

 

There is a cluster of rub-ons above and below my photo for some weight balance on the right side. For the opposite side, the page already had a beautiful illustration around the perimeter, so it was easy to add a title in the middle. The puffy alphas are in a gorgeous hot pink color which just pops off the page. To fill in some of that blank space I added a rub on next to the word ‘so’.

  

  

I added my journaling hugging the edge of the illustrations on the bottom of the page and finished it off with a strip of washi tape on the bottom of the opposite page. A quick and simple story documented in my Penelope Simple Daisy Notebook. I will be adding to this insert more and more because all the pages are simply wonderful.
