Hello, friends!
As we celebrate love this month, let's not forget to show self-love! So let us take time and document those selfies you have taking up space on your phone.
Traci Reed: Grapefruit Mocktails using the Paperie Collection

Does the thought of scrapbooking (to even taking) selfies make you feel a bit shy? I used to be in that same boat until I realized that no one is going to tell my story but ME! Now, I make sure to snap a selfie whenever I'm feeling myself and later, when I'm ready to scrapbook the photo, I try to pair my random selfie with a story in my album, because that's what we are at heart, right? Storytellers!
For this page using the Paperie Collection, I paired my selfies with a story/photo about my new drink of choice during Dry January: the grapefruit mocktail! I wanted to document the recipe for this pretty drink, but also the story behind why I was doing Dry January and honestly, just the photo of the drink alone wouldn't have had as much of an impact, but the drink PLUS my selfies really has the full impact of this being a story about ME.
I chose to minimally embellish this spread with icons and rather focused really heavily on words, titles, tags and patterns, so my only real icons were used to frame my selfies. Instead of matting my photos with patterned cards or paper, I chose to use tags from the Paperie Collection for a more subtle look
I loved the "On The Menu" TN card from the Paperie Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit so I used it as a base for the drink side of my layout and went all in on the words over here, creating my title from three sets of letter stickers to frame the left hand side and underneath my photo, as well as adding the "documented" rub on, chipboard piece AND my journaling. Thanks to all the different fonts and colors, the page looks like an art piece rather than a wall of text.
These two pages together strike a calm balance for my story and provide a great place to scrap a selfie I loved!
