Project Life Pocket Page Ideas with Our Backyard Blooms Kits
By Cocoa Daisy
Greetings!
Pocket pages are a fun way to document everyday life and our Backyard Blooms memory keeping kits will make this an easy and beautiful process for you. One of the most enduring memory keeping practices for documenting these stories is project life. At its most basic, project life is the incorporation of your everyday photos and some pretty cards in a pocket page protector to which you may simply add a date or a few words to describe the moment captured. You don't need to be an artist to create your own unique albums. The beautiful thing about project life and other similar memory keeping processes such as 52 Favorites and Project 365, is that documenting everyday stories over time shows us how much life changes and how much it stays the same. It's a beautiful "film reel" of our real lives.
Today, the design team is sharing some of their ideas for documenting your everyday life in pocket pages. Odessa will start us off with a layout in her 6x8 album. "The bright colours of the Backyard Blooms kit are perfect for summer fun! The kits went great with some photos of a day of family fun."
"I started with some photos and a few of the journal cards from the Memory Keeping Pocket Kit. A nice bold phrase card, a cute journalling card and a pretty pattern to go behind a little card that doesn’t quite fill the pocket. I then started my fav part - decorating! I used the chipboard that came with the Memory Keeping: Classified Kit a lot on this page. The bold colours and dimension were just what I needed! I also used the adorable puffy sticker sheet a lot."
"On the journalling card I used one of the Memory Keeping stamp sets for the location, it was a perfect touch! The stamps this month are so much fun! I stamped in a bold blue that looks great against the yellow and goes with the other bright colours on the page well."
"There are so many cute little touches in this kit. Little puffy hearts and dots, so many great phrase stickers and more. I used a bunch of them to emphasize how cute this ice cream cone was. This page was simple to put together and a great way to show off one of my fav summer days." We love the colorful eye Odessa has and the way she pulls elements from our kits together to create a fun layout!
Next we have a layout from Casie. "Hi Daisy fans! Today I am sharing a project life spread and I am so excited to be back in pocket pages! This spread is all about celebrating our summer vacation. I chose the 2x2 page protector because I had a ton of pictures. This page layout works like a grid for alternating photos and patterned paper. The greens and blues in the papers from the Backyard Blooms kit coordinated perfectly with our lakeside camping adventure."
On the right side of the page, I documented photos from our hike. I loved adding the word strip stickers along alternating sides of the photos. Between the photos, I chose patterned papers and various diecuts to add words and texture.
For the left side, I used one of the stamps to create a bigger title in the center of the page. And around that, more diecuts!
Thank you for joining me in this new to me adventure in pocket pages." Simple and sweet as always Casie. We love the 2x2 pocket pages filled with photos from your family fun day.
