The Little Things that will Inspire You in Our Classified Kits
Hello and welcome to August! On the blog today, Rachel and I are sharing some of the little things from the Backyard Blooms Classified kit that you are sure to love! These little kits include super cute items from a variety of scrapbook companies. They are curated to compliment our pocket and travelers notebook kits or stand on their own for simple documenting. Let’s jump in and see what Rachel has created for us. “I am excited to share a memory keeping layout using the Classified Memory Keeping Kit. If you would like to see what came in this month’s Classified Memory Keeping Kit, make sure to check out my unboxing video on my YouTube channel.“ “This kit always has beautiful embellishments that match the months theme, but often features products from other manufacturers. For the August Backyard Blooms Kit, we received gorgeous die cuts, chipboard stickers and word strips from Freckled Fawn and Pretty Little Studio. “For this layout, I clustered my photos together and used the die cuts to create a frame for the photos. I arranged the die cuts so that some tuck under the photos, while others peak out over the photos.” “Next, I used the chipboard stickers to add little titles. I removed the chipboard backing to avoid bulkiness, and adhered the pieces as I would a diecut.” “The colorful word strips were calling to me! I knew I wanted to use one of each of the photos. There are so many great little phrases on the sticker sheet.” “Lastly, I incorporated the design on the page for my journaling. On the sidebar, there are five spots for journaling. I used the memory keeping stickers to add numbers to the five photos and journaled on the sidebar about the numbered photos.” “The first part of the week did not match the second half of the week. To make them separate layouts, I trimmed and punched a piece of paper from the Planner Kit, added a dashboard, and embellished with a few of the die cuts from the Classified Memory Keeping Kit.” Rachel’s design is adorable! We love that she incorporated a planner dashboard and her clean and simple embellishing with items from the classified kit. I am sharing a simple little story in my #52favorites album. For me the cute little phrase stickers from Pretty Little Studio we’re perfect for my story. I loved the small flower patterned paper in the Simple Dori Traveler’s Notebook and I liked how the red and green in my photo matched the paper. For some reason I think of red and green only as a Christmas color combo but it works well almost any time of the year. So why am I holding back!?! It’s super important for me to tell the story and I loved that the Freckled Fawn chipboard had the perfect title to go with my story. In fact the classified kit made it simple and easy to capture this moment and my thoughts. I finished off my layout with a bit of hand stitching to highlight the photo of my sweet old pup sniffing flowers on our walk. Here again the little alpha phrases were perfect for capturing my thoughts. Now it’s your turn to share how you are using the Cocoa Daisy Classified kits in your memory keeping and planners. Please share your designs with us in our private facebook group or by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media. Thanks for stopping by! Be safe and well, ~Robin
