Hello, my crafty friends! It's Tai, and I have a fun double-page layout using the Flutterby Scrapbooking Core Kit along with the Flutterby Pocket Card Add-on Kit. I always love the variety with the pocket cards and enjoy making 6x8 layouts in my Family Story Album. I have a chronological album always going along with my 12x12 Project Life album. It’s how I memory-keep for our family. PL has all the highlights of the month, and my 6x8 tells more of the stories. For today’s project, I am recapping Mother’s Day this year.

  

  

The initial selections for this project were the two sentiment cards from the Flutterby Pocket Card Add-on Kit with matching fonts. I love how bold and colorful both of these cards were. So those two were selected, and then I needed a journal card and a patterned/illustration card. I loved the purple butterfly with the purple sentiment card, and then I paired a journal card with a reddish floral on it to have matching colors as well. Once my cards were selected, I scrolled through my phone photos for one that would lend itself to bringing cards.

 

 

When I scrolled to Mother’s Day, I was happy how they looked all together. I selected my favorite three photos and found another illustration card to fill in the last 3x4 opening across both sides of the layout.

 

 

For embellishments, I always love the rub-ons from the Flutterby Scrapbooking Core Kit on my photos. They work well on photo paper. I also did some stamping separated the lovely layered acetate butterflies to decrease the bulk between my pages, and used one on each side. It turned out so whimsical and lovely on both sides of my project. I simply love the cohesive look.
