Linda Jordan: Pocket Pages with Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit
The Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit with the Cedar and Snow Pocket Card Add-on was perfect for December 2020 in my daughter's album. This year, I have been going back and doing a recap spread for each month of 2020 in her album and this one is wrapping up the year! The Cocoa Daisy kits this year have made this super easy and now I have another year "caught up" in her album! I started my spread with the "December" 4x6 card and added the date with stamps from my stash.
To embellish some of my photos, I paired rub-ons with chipboard pieces from the Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit. When creating an embellishment cluster, I am always looking for a variety of dimensions, so using something flat, like a rub-on, as my base is a great way to start. Then, I layered a coordinating chipboard piece on top for a simple embellishment cluster to add to a few of my photos.
I love the pocket cards as a simple way to add journaling to my spread. I used the "Winter Wonderland" 3x4 card from the Cedar and Snow Pocket Card Add-on to create a bullet-point list of stories from the month. But, the cards are great for more than just journaling! I cut the sentiments from the "magical wintertime" card to embellish one of my photos.
I wanted to add a little more text to the photo of the tree, so I used one of the die-cut pieces in the Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit. Then I finished off the spread with another pocket card as a filler card to help break up the dark colors of my photos. I love how this spread came together and, even more, I love that I can check 2020 off as completely documented in my daughter's album.
