Rachel Newman: Memory Planning December in the Daisy Planner
One of the reasons I never mind being behind in my Memory Planner is knowing that I can always use this year's collection to document last year or the year before! For this spread I am documenting last years' annual trip to Iowa for Christmas to spend time with my husband wonderful family. I printed way too much photos, and used as many as I could in this spread. The photos I didn't use with go in a mini album I made from a trimmed down Cedar and Snow Simple Notebook.
I've taken some time off from memory planning this year, but oh my goodness did I love diving back in! It honestly is so easy to do with help of these supplies. The Cedar and Snow Memory Keeping Sticker Kit are sized to fit the columns of the Daisy Planner, which makes decorating a breeze! I placed the home quote sticker in the side bar and trimmed the black plaid sticker to fit around the quote sticker. I love having an eye catching side bar for my memory planner spreads. It's rare that a week's memories all center around on theme. For this reason, I chose to add a title for the week with puffy stickers from the Christmas Bonus Kit alphas from the Cedar and Snow Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and a rub-on from the collection. That stamped checklist on the title summed up the visit with family better than a paragraph of writing could!
I like to have a mix of written journaling, quotes, and word strips to help tell my stories in this format. One of my favorite elements in the pink tag sticky note that I used for journaling. I love the pop of color and having a unique shape next to all the rectangles photos and decorative boxes.
