Tai Cortes: Simple Scrapbooking with the Cedar and Snow

Hello, crafty friends! It's Tai, and I have a lovely traveler’s notebook layout to share with you today. I used the Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit along with the additional Cedar and Snow Simple Notebook. The Cedar and Snow Collection is amazing for your seasonal winter and holiday moments, but you can also document other stories. Do not be detoured by the theme.

I selected a simple patterned paper for my background with the mint and white scattered dots to document a memory. This patterned paper lends itself to be used for any kind of documentation. Facebook "memories" had these photos come up on my feed the other day, and I needed to document it. I was a new mom obsessed with big bows for my daughter when she was a baby. Every outfit had a matching bow. These photos showed a hunter green sequin bow with her ‘Starbucks’ dress. How adorable was that?!?!

The photos are printed 2x2 and I selected 4 of my favorite. I staggered their orientation on the patterned paper to give room to tiny embellishments between the pictures. A few rub-ons and some puffy alphas from the  Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit added details to the layout.

My large title was created using alpha metal dies from Tim Holtz and I used patterned paper from the Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit that was hunter green. ‘Big Bows’ worked perfectly for this project. I completed my journaling on clear matte sticker paper. The bow shapes were made using another metal die and patterned paper from the kit once again. This was a lovely memory to document in my Cedar and Snow Simple Notebook.
