Plan Your Days with the Koi Pond Collection

Plan Your Days with the Koi Pond Collection
Hello, friends! June is here and we hope your planners are filling up with all your important plans and the gorgeous Koi Pond Collection. Let's see how our Creative Team is planning their days with this new collection.
Karma's Hobonichi weeks is decked out with the new collection and it looks stunning!
June is my birthday month – this kit is perfectly me – so I’m so excited to use the Koi Pond Collection! I loved using the Koi Pond Daisy Weeks Calendar Sticker Kit in my monthly spreads for my Hobonichi Weeks. I also couldn’t resist incorporating the gorgeous Koi Pond Washi Tapes! This month’s Japanese parasol washi was perfect to help bring out the bold oranges and blue in the kit!
I also loved cutting out around the month title on the sidebar to allow the washi to peek through – this ties the bottom border together to frame the month beautifully!
My final step in getting ready for the month is to dress my planner up in a coordinating cover and add something fun to the pockets including the cute clips.

Jennie has her planner all filled out with sprinkles of this collection in between the events and to-do's
The colors in the Koi Pond Collection are just so pretty and soothing, I love them.
One of the things I love about planning is the ability to combine both function and decor. I love to add the decor to my plans, but also in big open spaces, as well.
One of the ways I bring decorative elements into the functional parts is by using alphabet stickers. They really bring more fun to an ordinary day or event!
Watch me plan this week in this process video.

Here are a couple of reasons why I love this layout for functional planning. First, the columns are a little wider, which gives me a little extra room for all the lists ( and I do love lists!). Second, I love having Saturday and Sunday along the bottom horizontally. Since I try not to work on the weekends, I don't need the weekend to be prominent on the page, while still having room to add a few details of what I created. My system for the last few weeks has been simple. I start by adding everything I need/want to accomplish in the left column. Next, I add my work deadlines, like when blog posts are posted. For this week, I utilized the stamp set from the Memory Planning Step by Step Bundle for the important events. After that, I give each day a main focus, which could be work, filming, creating content, etc. Sometimes, I write this out using Mildliners or Brush Pens. Other times, I use Alpha Stamps or Stickers. At the end of the week, I like to go back and fill in blank spaces with decoration. I usually grab the Koi Pond Memory Keeping Sticker Kit, with its designs perfectly sized for this layout. I love seeing all the things I checked off my task list while also enjoying the beautiful embellishments.  We love seeing your planner pages so be sure to share with us by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media or posting to the Cocoa Daisy Fan Page.
