I love the washi tape in the Afternoon Tea Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, and I'm someone who uses washi all the time. On this notebook spread, I demonstrate three easy ways to use it.
First, place washi tape down on white cardstock in rows, and then run it through your die-cut machine. Here I used a bird metal die, but this patchwork tape would look amazing with many styles of dies. I chose a bird because I wanted to evoke summer since my page is about my love of free time in summer to read whatever I want. Second, use washi to tape down a photo or run it along the edge of a page. I do both on this spread. I like to layer it, so I grabbed a speckled tape from my stash that matches the speckled tip-in I added to the notebook for the left side of my spread, and I layered this washi it over the kit tape.
Third, washi is great for creating pull tabs on tags or hidden journaling. The little envelopes in the Afternoon Tea Collection are so delightful. I used one here, trimming off the side so I could insert a small tag. To indicate that the tag is to be pulled out to reveal the journaling, I made a simple tab with the washi tape, folding it over with a bit sticking out from the edge. This spread also features the Afternoon Tea Memory Keeping Stamp Sets along with some of the puffy stickers and enamel dots. The Afternoon Tea Collection is so charming! Pull out that washi now and have fun jazzing up your pages with it!
Traci shares all the possbilities with pocket cards!
