Today is International Scrapbook Day and we are here to celebrate with some beautiful layouts using the Afternoon Tea Collection. Scrapbooking has changed so much over the years and it is exciting to see so many styles and formats for documenting our stories. We see scrapbookers working with traditional 12x12 pages, traveler's notebooks, pocket pages, and even planners and we love it all! 
Jennie is a long-time scrapbooker and decided to get back to her roots with this stunning design.
For International Scrapbook Day, I really wanted to create a traditional scrapbook page. It had been a minute since I had done that and a photo of a birthday at a favorite spot was a great idea. I started by matting my photo with one of the bold, bright patterned papers from the Afternoon Tea Modern Memory Keeping Kit. The bold color was to offset the black and white photo. I also decided to mat the photo in a different way. Instead of a small mat on all four sides, I chose a thicker mat on the top and bottom.
The real embellishment on the layout is the cluster below the photo that mimics the size and configuration of a photo. Three lines of embellishments, with a few black lines to combine them all together, stand out and ended up being a favorite design.
The patterned paper on the two sides of the layout mimics the mat on the photo but is flipped on the side. Using another bold color really draws the eye to the center of the page and all of the interest in the center.

Amy is absolutely loving the Afternoon Tea Collection and wanted to play with all the things!
I decided to focus on using the hexagons for this layout where I documented my closest crafty friends. I pulled out my hexagon dies and grabbed several different pieces/scraps of paper from the collection, including the Afternoon Tea Planner Dashboard kit, and began cutting different-sized hexagons. Once I had half a dozen or so cut, I started arranging them on my layout. I wanted to add some dimension, so I pulled out the chipboard from the Afternoon Tea Modern Memory Keeping Kit and Afternoon Tea Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and selected the “I love days like today” sentiment and some of the smaller hexagon pieces. I layered small chipboard hexagons on top of larger hexagons and added a couple of die-cut hexagons around the layout.
As this layout was coming together, I decided I wanted to add some additional interest, so I pulled out all the floral die-cut stickers I had left and made a little cluster adding some messy thread and foam adhesive to add more dimension. I placed my floral cluster on top of the largest hexagon which spanned both pages of my layout.
I then pulled out the puffy stickers found in the Afternoon Tea Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, the Afternoon Tea Modern Memory Keeping Kit, and the Afternoon Tea Classified: Memory Keeping Kit. I loved the puffy hearts and thought they would add a little something extra to the layout. Of course, I also had to use the enamel dots…that fuchsia is absolutely gorgeous!
I finished off my layout typing up my journaling on clear sticker paper and added a title using the puffy navy alpha stickers from the Modern Memory Keeping Kit and a label sticker from the Afternoon Tea Planner Kit, which I stamped the word “crafty”. Scrapbooking inside a planner? Yes, please!
I love memory planning as my main form of scrapbooking. It combines all my paper-crafting loves: planning, journaling and memory-keeping. I also love to switch up the layout inside my memory planner, which is easy to do, thanks to the new Minimalist Classic Size Double-Sided Graph Paper.
To make this spread, I started with two pieces of the Minimalist Classic Size Graph Paper as my base. Next I adhered my photos on the left page in a grid design, staggering the photos to create an open spaces for decoration in each row. Next, I trimmed papers from the Afternoon Tea Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to created decorative boxes and flips for hidden journaling. In the bottom bow, I matches the puffy cross stickers to the colors in the pattern for a tone on tone effect. The top corner box was a perfect place to add the week number and the dates using the General Store Number Stampand a roller date stamp from my stash.
The highlight of the spread is the right page, dedicated to my beautiful grandmother, who passed away last year. I spent the week celebrating her life with Family and I wanted to make a mini spread in my memory planner about it where I could store the program from service and the reading I shared. To do this, I used one of the glassine bags that holds the pocket cards as a pocket. I decorated the front of the pocket with my favorite photos of her and tucked these photos and some journaling inside one of the envelopes from the collection.Once completed, I simply adhered the graph pages to the week before and after in my memory planner. I love having room in my memory planner for the big, small, sad and celebratory moments of my daily life.
