As I was working on putting my planner together this month, I took my stickers out of the packaging and made a pile for the recycling bin. I looked over and realized that the beautiful black and white polka dot cardboard packaging was too pretty to get rid of. I saved a few of them and knew I'd use them to create something fun. And I did! This little project came together so quickly and easily. It is a notepad holder, that can be propped up and displayed. I have been spending a lot of time at my computer, teaching online, and I'm always looking for a sticky note or note pad. So, I decided to create a little holder. I love how it turned out. It is sitting right next to my laptop and I can't tell you how many times I have jotted something down on a piece of paper from this little pad! I started out by folding one of the packaging pieces in half. I think this is one that held the cardstock stickers that came with a planner kit. I adhered a 3 by 4 card on the right side and glued the notepad to the left. I used a glue stick and covered the back with adhesive. It has stayed remarkably well! I added a little note tab and a 'daily to do list' sticker to the left side. I adhered a bird die cut, tucked under the corner of the note pad. Next, I added a flower die cut and a couple of the puffy sticker dots as embellishments. Puffy stickers are always a favorite as they add amazing dimension. I added another die cut to the top of the journaling card. Both the bird and the floral die cuts hang over the top of the folded packaging piece. It breaks up the lines and softens the look of the project. I added another puffy sticker to the center of the floral piece. A die cut label serves as the background for the resin piece that I adhered next. Again, I love the texture and dimension that this adds to the project and the message is one I need to hear every day. I dotted the I with an puffy heart sticker and added the "hey" one for fun! This was such a quick and easy project and it is really coming in handy!
