Hello, friends!
If you love memory keeping and you love planners, then you will probably love memory planners! What is a memory planner? It is a place to document your days after they happen. Memory planning can be completed monthly, weekly, or even daily. Memory planners can include photos or be photoless, can include the nitty-gritty details of your days, or just the highlights. The goal is to have a low-pressure way to capture your life. Memory planning can be a tool to help with other memory-keeping endeavors like Project Life, traditional scrapbooking, or memory keeping in a traveler's notebook. We offer a few awesome formats for memory planning including the Daisy Planner, Planner Inserts, and the Daisy Dori. You can also use one of the many planners or bullet journals out there to get started. We've asked our Creative Team to share a little about their memory planning strategy and we hope it encourages you to try out this documenting format.
Odessa focused her memory planning on the monthly pages in her bullet journal.
"This year I’m getting back into bullet journalling after giving up in March 2020 when I had to change all my plans, haha! I really love playing with monthly calendars so I decided to try doing some memory-keeping ones using the Confetti Wishes Collection.
I started by drawing a simple calendar grid in my dot grid journal. I messed up the bottom a little; thank goodness for the washi from the Confetti Wishes Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and theConfetti Wishes Planner Add-On Kit! I loved the rainbow-hued day of the week rub-ons from the Confetti Wishes Modern Memory Keeping Kitso I started with those and then used some date stickers from the Confetti Wishes Planner Add-On Kit to add the dates. It was pretty simple to set up and luckily the width of my page worked well with the rub-ons.
After that, I printed out some tiny square photos on my little zink printer. I used an app to put two square images on one and printed them off. They were pretty close to the size of the boxes. I laid them down (the photo sheet is adhesive-backed which makes it easy) and then got busy embellishing!
I used a combination of elements from the kits on this page. Die cuts, stickers, stamps, washi, and more. I just let myself have a lot of fun and let the page grow organically. It’s a great exercise if you have a bunch of embellishments around and just want to do something creative. I recommend giving it a try!"
Playing catch-up in our memory planners doesn't mean we can't use the current Cocoa Daisy Collection, as Natasha demonstrates here.
"I always love the challenge of using a more seasonal kit to document memories from another time of year. Today I’m sharing a project using February’s Elegance Blooms Collectionto document the last week of August/first week of September 2021.
Perhaps you’re like me and are still finishing up your 2021 memory-keeping projects. If that is the case, don’t overlook the Elegance Blooms Collection to help you right now as you also get caught up. The key to making this collection really work for a late summer/ early fall layout is pulling the darker coral shade found from the chevron washi at the bottom left corner of my layout.
I used the small solid star stamp set from January’s Confetti Wishes Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kitto sprinkle this color throughout the two pages. This little star plays a few roles, repeating this focal color carried throughout my project as well as filling some of the white space to feel more cohesive and “full”. If you're also getting caught up on past projects and you walked away with some inspiration on how you used February's kit, I'd love to know. That deep coral color is a gorgeous jumping-off point!"
