Journaling Layout with the October Afternoon Journaling Kit

Journaling Layout with the October Afternoon Journaling Kit
Hey there, friends!

It's Marsha Farris, and I'm sharing a layout today using the October Afternoon Journaling Kit. I’ve been using a daily planner for journaling this year, and this kit works perfectly for these pages.

Marsha Farris: Journaling Layout with the October Afternoon Journaling Kit

To begin, I stamped the date with the  General Store Large Number stamp in a dusty blue ink. I pulled in the vellum sticker sheets from the October Afternoon Journaling Kit and added the day of the week. I then used a ticket image from the October Afternoon “Hello Fall” stamp to do some repeat stamping at the top of the page.

I like to divide my page into sections to break up the journaling, so I used alphabet stickers to make two subtitles. I added my handwritten journaling, then selected rub ons and stickers from the October Afternoon Journaling Kit to decorate the page. Because I was documenting a day in August, I chose to use the less fall-themed embellishments, like the colorful florals, apples, and books.

For the left column, I trimmed a quote from one of the sticker sheets and added some rub ons above and below it.

At the bottom of the page, I added a washi strip sticker and another rub on. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the rub on layered on top of the sticker! I did a bit more stamping with the October Afternoon “Hello Fall” stamp set to finish the page. I love how this journaling layout came together using the beautiful October Afternoon collection!
