Hello, friends!

Check out this fun idea for using the brass stencil from the October Afternoon Planner kit!

Kim Oedekoven: Customize Your Cover with the October Afternoon Planner Kit

The brass stencil from the October Afternoon Planner kit has nine lines, one box, and a page flag top and I came up with a few uses: task lists, project tracking with the box divided into quarters, decorative lines layered in both directions to mimic the creative kit stamp.

The project that I do love the most is cutting horizontal slits down the front cover of the planner and weaving half-inch strips of two patterned papers through them. It was very straight forward using my carsdtock trimmings to make the woven strips and still have the cover attached to the always amazing October Afternoon Cocoa Daisy Notebook.

On top of it i used a couple of the large die cuts from the kit on top of a partially torn sticky note sheet that has the pumpkins in the corners. Of course then I used the October sticker that is also in the October Afternoon Planner kit sticker pack.

Then the inside cover got a pocket built from some leftover cardstock to house the longer calendar card from the October Afternoon Planner kit that I put 3 different washi tapse on. How handy is that now!

I never know how these types of projects will work out but I'm super excited about having a cozy woven cover for October.
