Ideas for the Colorblock Weekly Pages

Ideas for the Colorblock Weekly Pages
Hello, friends! We are tackling a question that is often asked over on the Cocoa Daisy Fan Page: How do you use the color-block weekly pages? There are so many different ways you could use them and we have a few examples to share with you today!

Kimberly Oedekoven: Standard Dori

The new format of the Daisy Dori inserts has the same weekly color block pages we so admired in all the ring inserts, and there are so many options to use this one particular page. After much noodling and 3 weeks of testing, I have some ideas on how this little gem of planning can be used. Since the inserts are open-ended by nature, this newly introduced structure might throw off those who are used to a bullet journal.¬† Just because lines are there doesn‚Äôt mean we have to abide by them.¬† I‚Äôve taken my Doodles & Dashes II Standard Daisy Dori and treated it as a catch-all: Sometimes it houses tasks and lists; even light journaling fits in these spaces.¬† I also used the included Mildliner to make a background for my week‚Äôs events. I‚Äôve been trying to be more intentional about my health and this weekly spread helps me keep all that info straight.¬†¬† I divided it to create an easy space to write my Kcal, steps, exercise minutes, and whether or not I closed my ring with the Doodles & Dashes II Planner Kit stickers.¬† And instead of writing down all my food intake, I focused on the cheat treats and accomplishments for successful food swap outs.¬† Don‚Äôt forget about the white space between each block, in this case, I‚Äôve used it to track water as well throughout the week. Of course, there are weeks when I need to use these intentionally to make sure I don‚Äôt forget activities.¬† This week was pretty busy so I simply wrote each day‚Äôs timed event and then gently snaked the date dots from the Doodles & Dashes Kit II Planner Add-On Kit to make sure this simple spread had some visual interest. But with these deeply saturated pages, filled with all the fall foliage an Autumn lover would want, it's easy to keep the plans simple and enjoy the lovely designs from Cocoa Daisy‚Äôs talented artists!

Sian Carter: A5 Daisy Dori

Every month the most anticipated view of my A5 Daisy Dori inserts has to be the 5 striped pages with beautiful daily color blocking on the right page and a lined page on the left side with more of the stunning Doodles & Dashes II Collection motif you‚Äôll see adorning every page of your inserts for the month of November. I utilize this planner for social media which calls for pre-planning pages in my experience. I love being able to draft the next week between my posting schedule, items that demand my attention, and what double-post days could look like. Thus, I use my striped pages just behind the month-at-glance for pre-planning purposes. Similarly to a posting schedule, one could nicely utilize the striped pages for their weekly events, while using the lined page for all tasks and to-dos. More often than not, a to-do list is something that can be tackled weekly as opposed to daily, putting less pressure on oneself and maximizing the flexibility we do get on any given day depending upon our schedules.   For my social media needs, I decided to split the striped page into two columns: post and reel. I like to organize my posting schedule in a certain way and track incorporating reels into my week. This use of my striped pages will give me an aerial view of arranging and rearranging my vision for the next week in advance.   Lastly, I plan to experiment with color coding on these pages as well. I would coordinate the colors of tasks and to-dos on the left page with the daily color-blocking on the right page. Happy planning!     We hope you picked up some new ways to utilize these beautiful pages! Share how you use these pages by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media or posting to the Cocoa Daisy Fan Page.
