Four Favorites from the Gather Collection

Four Favorites from the Gather Collection
Hello, friends! We try not to play favorites, but sometimes, we can't help it! The Gather Collection has something for everyone and it is always fun to see which items are our Creative Team's favorites. Tanti's four favorites are so fun and functional!
"Picking some favorite items from the kit is one of my favorite challenges. I enjoyed the process of looking through every item in the kit and considering which items are my favorites.
It‘s not easy as always but these are my four favorite items from the Gather Collection.
The first item is the notepad holder from the Gather Planner Kit. It is always my favorite when Cocoa Daisy includes it in one of their kits. I always transform it into a pocket-size TN holder. This notebook holder will come in handy if I want to take a small notebook with me on the go, instead of my big planner.
My second favorite items are the washi tapes from the Gather Planner Kit, the Gather Planner Add-on Kit, and the Gather Classified: Planner Kit. I use the washi tape not only for attaching cards of overlay onto my pages but also to decorate my cover or the pages. My third favorite item is the leaf-shaped sticky notepad from the Gather Planner Kit. This kind of sticky notepad is very versatile to use. It can be used not only to write a note but you can also use it as decoration for your pages or cover. Just like I did here on my cover. It adds an interesting touch to my cover.
My final favorite item is the gold Mildliner brush pen. I always wanted to try this out but I couldn’t get it so easily here in Europe and now I’m so glad that Cocoa Daisy included it in the Gather Planner Add-On Kit so I could try it out and I liked it. It‘s so smooth to write with. I used it to write the title of my challenge lists and also to write the title of my journal pages."
Natasha used all four favorites to embellish this fabulous divider in her planner.
"Adding my own personal touch to the monthly dividers in my Cocoa Daisy Daisy Planner is one of my favorite ongoing projects to return to each month. Once I saw the tag chipboards pieces from the Gather Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit I knew I wanted to feature them front and center because they are probably my most favorite item from this month’s collection.
Here’s a look at my four favorite projects that I used for this project:
I added some mixed media “smooshing” to the circle patterned paper, which I directly adhered to the planner divider page. With my “smooshing” technique I used some distress oxides inks and some clear packaging. I swiped a bit of the ink on the clear packaging with just a touch of water, I give it a little mix and then flipped the packaging over and “smooshed” it right onto the page. Adding the mixed media effect on top of the pattern creates a more muted pattern background which now doesn’t compete with the structure of the tags.
I utilized a grid design to arrange the chipboard elements and then used the enamel leaf embellishments along with some ephemera and enamel dots. While adding my final touches, I used some adhesive foam to back the cardstock ephemera pieces which I recommend so they are well supported on the page and sit flush on top of the chipboard pieces."
