My entire album has full-page 6x8 photos throughout and every pocket page has 5" photos in the 6x4 pockets and 3.25" photos in the 3x4 pockets. That makes it easy to actually COMPLETE the album by taking some of the guesswork that could hold us back out of the equation. [gallery columns="2" size="full" link="none" ids="761258,761260,761256,761257"] 2) I created 3 title cards with the 1, 2, and 3 die cuts that all look similar because we were celebrating 3 birthdays on vacation. This made it easy to draw attention to the birthday celebration threads and gave my pages a consistent look. [gallery columns="2" link="none" size="full" ids="761251,761252"] 3) I used a lot of colors, pattern, and layering throughout to keep things interesting, but since I used a single collection for the whole book, everything flows together perfectly! Well, now is the time to document that trip using the My Escape Collection as Carol demonstrates with her My Escape Simple Dori style mini album.

In November of last year, we took a trip to Louisiana. We did have a main goal and purpose for the trip, but overall the kids had a great adventurous time trying out canoeing, fishing, and eating yummy food. [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="761264,761265"] Using the My Escape Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit was the perfect fit for this little project. I was able to use all of my photos and include journaling that I wanted to. [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="761266,761267"] It was super fun to layer the different chipboard and die-cut elements as well as placing rub-ons directly on photos. [embed]https://youtu.be/EjglGj59aw8[/embed] I just returned from a road trip and made a quick little mini album to capture the memorable moments. Maybe you are like me, and you have big plans for documenting travel, only to get analysis paralysis and not doing anything at all. I was determined to get this recent road trip back to Memphis documented in a timely manner and did a few things to help make that happen! To start, I trimmed down the My Escape Simple Dori Travelers Notebook to passport used the notepad holder from the My Escape Planner Add On Kit as the cover. You can see a process video of how I turned the notepad holder into a traveler's notebook and my Simple Dori setup on my YouTube Channel.¬† I had high hopes of working on this mini-album on my trip. Ultimately, I did most of the documenting when I returned. I stuck to a few kit elements including the My Escape Memory Keeping Pocket Cards, My Escape Memory Keeping Stamps, My Escape Memory Keeping Sticker Kit, and washi to streamline my process. Repeating design elements takes the guesswork out of memory keeping in this format. For instance, I regularly used the outline alpha stamp set for my page title with hand lettering or smaller alpha stickers as the subtitle. My photos were usually centered on the pattern page with a few embellishments below the photo. Washi was added to pages that needed a pop of color or texture. The last page of the albums includes a "Highlights" list using one of the My Escape Memory Keeping Pocket Cards. This is a great way to add moments that were so memorable you forgot to take any photos (oops!). I love how this travel album turned out, especially because it is completed.
