Tai Cortes: Whimsical Moments in the Simple Notebook

Hello crafty friends. Tai here, and I have a traveler’s notebook layout in the Cocoa Daisy Simple Notebook. I enjoy working in this size notebook and the theme was so whimsical and adorable. I used the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit and the Chapters Simple Notebook for this layout.

The Chapters Scrapbooking Kit includes 6x8 papers and I selected the green ledger paper. I used it to cut out letters with my manual die-cutting machine. And the extra piece I used as a layering piece behind my photos.

I made a 4x6 photo collage and included 6 pictures of my daughter and me playing on Snapchat. My daughter just loves playing on Snapchat, we laugh and giggle at the funny ones and love any that give us animal ears. We can easily spend 30 minutes to an hour doing this together occasionally. My favorite ones turned us into cartoon characters.

I arranged 4 photos on the left side of the layout and the other 2 on the right. The title for my layout looked best stacked on top of each other for a very bold statement. Once the main elements were on the page, it was then time to embellish the layout with die cuts, rub-ons, stickers, and some stamping around the page. The stamps from the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit included little sentiments and extra leaves and birds and those elements worked perfectly to fill in empty spaces around the layout.
