Throwback Thursday with the Chapters Pocket Cards

Throwback Thursday with the Chapters Pocket Cards

Hello, friends!

It feels like a throwback to even use the title "Throwback Thursday," but we don't apologize for our love of nostalgia around these parts! After reading today's post, we hope you take up the challenge and find some older memories to document with this collection.

Linda Jordan: Throwback Spread with Chapters Pockets Cards

One of my favorite ways to use the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit and Chapters Pocket Card Add-on is to go back and tell older stories. Using pocket pages makes it super simple to document older memories quickly + get my stories into my albums. I am working through 2020 in my daughter's album using the monthly kits. I love how the kits come with a 4x6 card that says the month on it to use as a title card for my spread.

One of my favorite things about pocket cards is that they can be simple or complicated, depending on my crafty mood. When I need a quick, creative win, I can slip the cards into the pockets and call it good. But, when I feel more crafty, I like cutting up my cards to turn them into embellishments on my photos. I had fun cutting out the mess quote from one of the 3x4 cards to add it to this cute photo of my daughter + our pets. Then, I ran it through my sewing machine to add texture.

The Chapters Scrapbooking Kit had some fun labels in the die-cut pack, which work perfectly for adding a few extra words on top of a photo. I used one of them here to add the details of this photo and then embellished it with a few additional pieces from the kit.

To recap the month overall, I used one of the journaling cards from the Chapters Pocket Card Add-on + the enamel dots to create a bullet-point list of stories. I wanted to highlight one story, so I gave it its own 3x4 journaling card + used the puffy alphas from the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit to add a title. I love how this spread came together. Only one month left, and then I'll have all of 2020 documented in my daughter's album!
