Scene Papers Ideas for Your Scrapbooking Layouts
Hello, friends!
We love the "scene" papers found in the 12x12 paper kit and want to share a few ways to utilize them in your scrapbooking layouts.
Traci Reed: 12x12 Scence Papers
There are often a lot of “scene” papers in the 12x12 Paper Add-on and the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit is no exception! I normally shy away from these types of papers, opting instead to use the b sides, but in the last few Cocoa Daisy collections, I’ve been challenging myself to use these papers to their full potential instead!
For this page, I used this paper with this adorable scene of all the animals reading at home to scrap a photo of me reading at home too (and my current book stack).
Since the scene takes up over 1/2 of the bottom of the paper, the challenge was how to fit my two photos in with the composition and incorporate them so that they didn’t look like they were just floating on the paper. I “grounded” the photos by making them look like they were part of the tree, then added my clusters of embellishments from the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit horizontally to the left.
To make the page look like it was one cohesive scene, I added more die-cut and rub-on animals to my clusters as well as the leaves from the puffy stickers from the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit all over the page so they looked like they were swirling around my photos AND the animals in the lower half of the page.
It was a super fun challenge and I love how different the page is from my norm!
