Designs that Sparkle with the Cranberry Rose Classified: Memory Keeping Kit
Hello, Friends!
The Classified: Memory Keeping Kit is the best kind of surprise! Each month, this kit is thoughtfully assembled to coordinate with the other Memory Keeping Kits, with items that can really make your spreads sparkle. This month, the Cranberry Rose Classified: Memory Keeping Kit featured specialty items including wood venure, a stencil, Shimmerz embellishments, tags, and acrylic words. Today, we have two layouts from our design team featuring this delightful kit.
Let's start with Aimee and her layout filled with all the fun textures.
"Hi, it’s Aimee here, sharing this fun and wintery, monochromatic mixed media layout. It is chalk full of awesomeness from the Cranberry Rose Classified: Memory Keeping Kit.  I love how everything in the Classified: Memory Keeping Kit is so useable and adds so much texture, including the packaging!
I started out with some fun vertical stitching to add some texture behind my photos and then added some splattering and “water color” with candy apple red Distress Oxide. Over top of the stitching and the mixed media, I used the stencil from the kit and a dauber to add some red stars for added interest.
I used the glassine bag that housed some of the goodies as a layering element behind my photos, as well as the red tags. The acrylic pieces that came in the kit serve as my title for this page and I just love the winter sentiments.
I sewed on some of the beautiful red ribbon and a strip of paper from one of the kit folders as a nice textural anchor at the bottom of the spread. I finished the page off with a healthy sprinkling of Shimmerz bling. If there’s one technique that I just love utilizing it is repurposing packaging, I invite you to try and find a new way to use packaging on your next layout. Happy crafting!"
We love how Aimee created beautiful dimension to her page with so many elements from this kit. Keeping the page monochromatic is a great way to incorporate texture while keeping the overall design clean. Next, we have Odessa sharing a pocket page spread that includes a festive shaker pocket.
I kept the other side simple. I used a mix of foam stickers, alpha stickers, die cuts and chipboard to add a bit more story. I just love how this page sparkles! I was so inspired after finishing it I went on to do a few more and the end is near for this mini album."
We love how Odessa used the Shimmerz embellishments to create a shaker pocket. Shaker pockets are a great ways to add a little sparkle to your memory keeping pages. Odessa's photos really tell the story with just a few simple embellishments. Sometimes, you just need a few words to capture the moment.

"I just love all the extra embellishments that come in the Classified: Memory Keeping Kit. They always complement the kits so nicely and have fun things to work with. When I saw the sparkly Shimmerz mix in the Cranberry Rose Memory Keeping: Classified Kit I started planning my layout. I’m trying to finish up last year’s December album and knew a shaker pocket was the way to go. I used a 3x8 page protector and filled it with Shimmerz. I took one of the tags from the classified kit along with the twine and used a mix of phrase stickers from the Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and alpha stickers and an acrylic word from the Classified Kit.
Underneath the shaker I used one of the papers from the Classified Kit. I also used the cute gold dot washi from the Cranberry Rose Traveler’s Notebook Kit over the edge with the binder holes, which I then repunched.
