Crafting Currently Pages with the Umber and Gold Collection

Crafting Currently Pages with the Umber and Gold Collection
Hello, friends! What is a quick and easy way to capture your life right now? Yes, you could take a photo, but what about creating a "currently" spread? "Currently" pages are designed to be a snapshot of you at a given moment to including what you are eating, drinking, reading, watching, listening to, loving, creating, thinking about, feeling, or more. If you tend to document the bigger moments, consider trying this style out. You will be amazed at how much a "Currently" page can instantly tell you what was going on in a certain season of life. "Currently" spreads are a perfect photo-less form of documenting. "How about a photo-less layout? I suppose one could call it listing‚Äî but let‚Äôs make it pretty! I wanted to list all of the things I‚Äôm currently loving and doing right now as we transition into Fall. I started out by spelling out my title with the gorgeous deep burgundy puffy stickers from the Umber & Gold Modern Memory Keeping Kit and then numbered my journaling using number stickers from the Umber & Gold Memory Keeping Sticker Kit. I typed out all the things I‚Äôm loving like dark chocolate and chrysanthemums and then paired my list with a gorgeous quote page in the Simple Dori from the Umber & Gold Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit.   I decided to dress up the quote page a bit even though it was gorgeous all on its own. I added some gold and brown splatters as well as some asterisks from the puffy alpha sticker sheet. By the time I was done, I realized I had no place for a current photo! While this may be commonplace for some, it is definitely out of the ordinary for me! But guess what? I absolutely love it and it‚Äôs totally okay that I don‚Äôt have a photo. Do you ever make photo-less scrapbook layouts? I hope I inspired you to give it a try‚Äî you may be surprised by how much you love the result!" For Odessa, life is currently all about coziness!
"The Umber & Gold Collection is just gorgeous! I dove into them and put together a cute “currently” Traveler’s Notebook page. I used the Umber & Gold Simple Dori my layout. I love that heart pattern! I used one of the cards from the Umber & Gold Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit as well as the washi from the kit to make a little flip page to feature some instant photos. I added some embellishments and tags to the flip page and it was done!
On the page under my add-in page, I used the puffy alpha from the Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to spell out currently. It’s my favourite detail on the page.
On the other side of the page, I stuck down the little clear plaid pocket, also from the Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, to add some journalling to go along with some pictures to finish off the “currently” theme.
I took one of the library cards from the Umber & Gold Classified: Memory Keeping Kit and used a mix of handwriting and stickers from the Umber & Gold Memory Keeping Sticker Kit to capture my fall, right now. I love how it looks all mixed together!"
Traci is currently loving her new glasses and documenting all about it with this matching collection.
"When I realized my new glasses matched the Umber & Gold Collection perfectly, I knew I wanted to use the collection to scrap the photo! I decided to depart from the fall themes in the kits and instead paired the selfie with one of the "currently" cards in the collection.
I created a pocket for my card by trimming down one of the large cards in the Umber & Gold Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to size and then added some texture and depth to my layout with messy stitching on the right side and matching bunched up thread under my clusters!
Check out my process video to see how I put these pages together!
