While the Silent Moon Collection is great for celebrating a new calendar, it can also be used for all kinds of celebratory moments, including graduations! Keep reading to see how one our newest Creative Team Members used this collection for a very special celebration.

Linda Jordan: Graduation Documented with Silent Moon Kit

Working in a 6x8 album is such a fun size for mini scrapbook layouts. The patterned papers in the Silent Moon Modern Memory Keeping Kit are the perfect backdrop for a layout featuring one key photo. I loved the January Silent Moon Collection for documenting my daughter's High School graduation.

Although this kit is themed for the fresh start of a new year, this theme fits perfectly with all sorts of fresh starts, including the end or beginning of any season of life (in this case graduating high school). I used the alpha stickers from the Silent Moon Modern Memory Keeping Kit to create a bold title. To make my title pop, I added strips of washi tape beneath the letters.

Remember, the 3x4 cards that come in the Modern Memory Keeping Kit have many uses outside of pocket pages! I loved this quote as a sentiment for this page, but didn't want to include a full 3x4 card. No worries! I cut around the strips with my scissors and was able to stack them along the side of my photo as an embellishment.

To finish off my page, I added a small embellishment cluster in the top left to balance the design. I used a sticker from the Silent Moon Classic Cousin Sticker Kit as my base, but you could easily use a strip of patterned paper from the Silent Moon Modern Memory Keeping Kit as well. I added a few embellishments to coordinate with those elsewhere on the spread to tie everything together.
