Avoid Bulky Spreads with Rub-Ons from the Meadow Collection

Avoid Bulky Spreads with Rub-Ons from the Meadow Collection
Hello, friends! To avoid bulk in our memory keeping, it is nice to have a variety of flat embellishments to work with, including rub-ons like the ones found in the Meadow Collection. Rub-ons can be used on all types of surfaces including vellum, photos, cardstock, and acetate. They are great for planners and memory-keeping alike!  Cheryl dressed her monthly pages with the whimsical rub-ons from the Meadow Planner Kit.
Hi, Daisies! The rub-on stickers in this month's kits are beautiful, fun, and so easy to use! I used the blossoms from the Meadow Planner Kit to decorate the monthly calendar along with the adorable dog "You Got This!" I've included a short "plan with me" reel to show you how easy it is!
The rub-on stickers come with a popsicle stick to burnish them onto the page. You will want to rub firmly and slowly pull up on the plastic sheet checking to make sure it has completely transferred. If it has not, just lay the cover sheet back down and burnish in the areas that need to be completed.
The "You Got This" rub-on had a small portion stuck to the bottom sheet. It is so easy to fix! Piece the top and bottom together and burnish while it is still on the "waxy" bottom sheet. Once the rub-on is back in place on the top sheet, you can burnish on to your background.
Did you know that you can use rub-on stickers on vellum and acetate? You can! It is just as easy as placing it on cardstock. It is another way to embellish the specialty papers and the translucency is so pretty! I love how the rub-on stickers, stickers, and die-cut all layer together so well! Have fun creating!
Marsha had fun adding rub-ons to her Traveler's Notebook Spread.
Hey, it’s Marsha here sharing a Meadow Simple Dori spread using lots of embellishments and papers from the Meadow Collection. I focused on the awesome rub-ons for my project today.
To begin the layout, I layered rub ons from the Meadow Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to create the title. The rub ons are so fun and easy to use, and they also layer beautifully! I completed the title with blue puffy alpha stickers. The lower portion of the page includes a cluster created with circle stickers from the Meadow Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and chipboard circle stickers.
I included a yellow patterned paper to span both pages of the spread. I like how it ties the two pages together, leading the eye across the layout. The tags from the Meadow Classified: Memory Keeping Kit are always a favorite!
I used one behind the photo and created a flip-up using cards from the Meadow Modern Memory Keeping Kit. I also stamped a sentiment below the photo with the stamp from the same kit. I love how my layout turned out with the rub-ons from the Meadow Collection. Happy creating!
We hope you are inspired to get out those popsicle sticks and get those rub-ons on your creative projects! Share with us by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media or posting to the Cocoa Daisy Fan Page. Make sure to visit our Pinterest page and the Cocoa Daisy YouTube Channel for more inspiration.
