You may have noticed the word "hygge" and wondered its meaning. Well, you're not alone! Hygge (pronounced "hoo-gah") is a Danish concept that is all about creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that promotes well-being and happiness. So today, it's all about cozy and comfort with a spread documenting hygee at home!
Carol Weatherspoon: Hygee Home Documented
The Home Sweet Home Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit is the perfect collection to document coziness because the warm tones included in this collection are just wonderful. For this spread, I used coordinating pattern papers and there was no way I wasn't going to use the plaid patterned paper because it totally reminds me of a warm blanket!
For the left side of the spread, I added my title by using one of the stamps in the Home Sweet Home Modern Memory Keeping Kit. I stamped that onto a postage style die cut from my stash. I layered that cute stack of blankets onto that and then added my journaling underneath. I also added another piece of patterned paper to the bottom of both sides of my spread to bring them together visually and I finished off the left side with a lovely warm cup of tea and sweets.
For the right side, I added a nice size photo of my sweet daughter on our comfy couch. Our living room is definitely our happy place! I added a few die cuts and this spread was complete.
