Hello, Friends! It's another "Simple Dori Saturday" where we share a small-scale scrapbooking spread featuring the Nordic Skies Collection!
Marsha Farris: Simple Dori SaturdayI enjoy using the Simple Dori for memory keeping, and this month's Nordic Skies Collection was perfect for documenting a snow day from a recent mountain vacation. I stamped a large title with the General Store Alphabet Stamp to start the layout. It is such a great size alpha stamp for traveler's notebook pages! I then stamped the word highlight from the Nordic Skies Memory Keeping Stamp Sets by masking the "s" from the stamp to complete the title. The circular designs and snowflakes from the Nordic Skies Memory Keeping Stamp Sets worked well for providing additional details to the page. Because of the purple color of my shirt in the photo, I chose to stamp with a similar ink color to tie the pages together. I also covered a bit of imperfect stamping by stamping a circular element and snowflake on a piece of white cardstock, cutting it out with a circle punch, and adding it over the original stamped image. For the right side of the spread, I layered my photo over a trimmed patterned paper. I then added more stamping with the Nordic Skies Memory Keeping Stamp Sets. To complete the layout, I embellished it simply with rub-ons, die cuts, chipboard stickers, and enamel dots from the Nordic Skies Travelers Notebook Memory-Keeping Kit. This snowy Simple Dori layout was easy and fun to make, using the Nordic Skies Modern Memory-Keeping Kit and Nordic Skies Travelers Notebook Memory-Keeping Kit.
