Prep Your Memory Planner with Nordic Skies!
Natasha Pytlik: Prep Your Memory Planner with Nordic Skies
During busy seasons of life, such as the holidays, or moving into the new year and all our regular routines, I like to prep my memory planning pages ahead of time. Creating my memory planning pages with the approach of deco first, then adding photos and journaling at a later date is one of my go-to approaches for staying consistent with memory planning throughout all different types of seasons, especially the busy ones.
I am also using one of my go-to sketches for memory planning, where I use one element repeated in a concentrated format in a thick band towards the bottom of the vertical columns of my Daisy Planner, and carry it across the two pages for the weekly layout.
This month I decided to use stars as I really love the subtle sheen of the gold metallic vellum stars, and as someone who loves blue, I selected primarily blue elements from the collection to create my desired look. I paired this sketch with the General Store Number Stamp Set and selected a coordinating ink color that brings the blue hue throughout the entire layout.
Now as I mentioned, I am preparing these pages in advance so I am going to go ahead and mark off where I plan to add my photos and different journaling sections throughout the week. I also use this time to create some prompts for myself such as" what is a win", and a challenge of the day.
Now you may be thinking, “what do I do if I don’t have a photo from that specific day?” For me, most things that I document are not day specific therefore it does not bother me if a photo that I placed in the Thursday column was actually taken on Tuesday. I’m still capturing the overall vibe of the week. I trimmed the sticky notes from the Nordic Skies Planner Kit to serve as a placeholder for those different elements that I will add to my layout at a later date.
If you are getting started with memory planning in the new year, do not be intimidated by the process, nor think that you need to approach your process the same way each month or each week! That is something that you can mix up depending on what you need at that time.
