Carol Weatherspoon: Notepad and Cards

For me, holiday crafting is about using beautiful paper to create fun projects. Let's start with that cute little notepad. I am such a List person and this notepad is perfect for just that. After I cut out my template, I used patterned paper from the Frost & Frolic Collection¬†with that adorable snowman. I added a few die-cut embellishments and a stamp on the front and a few more die-cuts, washi tape, and chipboard stickers for the inside. So fun! Next, I created a card. Cards are totally my jam and for this card, all you need is a couple of sheets of patterned paper, die cuts, and a few snowflake embellishments. And last but not least, a coordinating tag. I used the same patterned paper as my card and another snowman from the Frost & Frolic Collection. I cut out a tag-shaped die and added a few enamel dots and twine. If you don't have a nested tag die or tag punch in your stash, I highly recommend it. That completes this fun holiday crafting project using cute little snowmen to create a coordinating gift set.  

Amy Argyros: Custom Gift Wrapping Set

One of my favorite things to make during the winter holiday season are handmade cards, gift tags and fun packaging! Today I am sharing a couple of items I whipped up for the holidays using the Frost & Frolic Collection. I really loved the glitter snowflake stickers in the collection this month. I wanted to use them to make a holiday project that had layers and texture, so I pulled out a box. I love boxes and their possibilities! During this season of online holiday shopping, my recycle bin is full of them, so I pulled one out and started to cut! I started by cutting a 2.75‚Äùx5‚Äù tag. Then I gently pulled off portions of that top layer of paper to expose sections of the corrugated paper beneath. I took out some white paint, diluted it and splattered it around to give the effect of more snow. I found a scrap of the light blue snowflake paper from the Frost & Frolic Classified: Memory Keeping Kit¬†and decided to make a tag topper. I adhered two snowflake stickers from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit. I wanted a sentiment to my tag, so I selected the ‚ÄúHappy Holidays‚Äù stamp from the Christmas Bonus Kit December 2022. I used white embossing powder on vellum and cut the sentiment into a banner and placed it just beneath the tag topper. I added a few sequins from the Frost & Frolic Classified: Memory Keeping Kit¬†and then finished off the tag with some glittery twine I had in my stash. You can see my process in this Instagram Reel.     I was so happy with how my tag turned out I decided I wanted to try making a card. I cut another piece of box 3‚Äùx4.5‚Äù. Again I splattered diluted white paint around and took another scrap of light blue snowflake paper from the Frost & Frolic Classified: Memory Keeping Kit, tore the bottom at an angle (adding more texture), heat embossed my ‚ÄúHappy Holidays‚Äù sentiment with Liquid Platinum embossing powder and mounted it off to one side. I selected three snowflake stickers, added sequins and mounted it to a piece of the snowflake packaging and mounted that to my 4.25‚Äùx5.5‚Äù card base. I felt like it needed a little something more so I added some fluffy, glittery thin yarn to the top of the paper strip with my tiny attacher.     I had a tag and a card‚Ķso of course I needed a gift bag! The Frost & Frolic Day Planner Dashboards not only make great dashboards and dividers for your planner, but they can make great embellishments for gift bags! I keep a kraft bags in a variety of sizes in my stash at all times, so I pulled out an 8‚Äùx10‚Äù bag and selected the A5 dashboard with the cute snowmen that reads ‚ÄúWinter is the best time to reminisce with friends‚Äù. I mounted the dashboard to some white card stock and adhered it directly to the kraft bag. I added a few sequins from theFrost & Frolic Classified: Memory Keeping Kit¬†‚Ķand my gift bag is ready and coordinates nicely with my tag or my holiday card!¬†I hope you were able to find some holiday crafting inspiration.

I‚Äôm not a serious card maker but I always love to make handmade cards for the Christmas season. It feels like an extra special something for the holiday to give to loved ones and friends. Just like my memory planning layouts, I am always looking for different ways to layer in all the beautiful Cocoa Daisy products from the Frost & Frolic Collection.¬†I started with a blank card that I had in my stash, if that‚Äôs not available to you, a patterned paper from the collection will do just fine! I recommend using a pattern paper that isn‚Äôt too busy to avoid competing with your card decor. Next I trimmed down some patterned paper, and adhered it to my card. This serves as my card‚Äôs foundation. I started building out my layers starting with some 1 ¬Ω‚Äù circles that I punched out of the pattern papers from the Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit.     Adding rub ons and die cuts continue to add layers and interest to my card.
