Document December with Frost & Frolic

Many memory keepers take the opportunity to document all the seasonal moments and holiday traditions that happen throughout the month of December. What better way to do so than with the Frost & Frolic Collection!
Marsha Farris: Favorite Holiday Season Treat Documented
The Frost & Frolic Collection is perfect for December documenting projects. I was excited to use it to create a layout for my December album to document one of my favorite treats during the holiday season, hot cocoa with marshmallows.
To begin the spread, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to use as the base for the left page. I wanted to include one of the memory-keeping adhesive pockets from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit and Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit on the layout and needed a neutral background so the pocket would stand out on the page. l selected a 3x4 card from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit, adhered it to the outside of the pocket, and added a rub-on to the edge of the card.
Next, I created a tag using another 3x4 card and patterned paper and slipped it into the pocket. Then, I added a trimmed dot patterned paper and stapled it to the top of the tag to give the look of ribbon. This added a bit of texture to the page, and because the faux ribbon is patterned paper, it matched the layout perfectly!
For the other side of the spread, I trimmed a pink dot patterned paper to serve as the background and backed my photo with a plaid patterned paper. I used puffy alpha stickers from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit and Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to create the title. Chipboard stickers from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit and Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit were then layered at the top and bottom of the page to frame the photo. To complete the layout, I added circle stickers from the Frost & Frolic Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and did some stamping with the Frost & Frolic Memory Keeping Stamp Sets.

Ashley Horton: Documenting Local Christmas Parades
One of our favorite things to do in December is attending our local Christmas parades. This year, our oldest daughter was in the parade, as a part of the student leadership team from our church. I snagged a couple of photos that one of the adult leaders took, so I could document the photos.
The colors in the Frost & Frolic Collection were a perfect match for the photos! I used a mix of products from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kitand Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, and added in a few stickers from the Frost & Frolic Memory Keeping Sticker Kit.
One of my favorite things to use from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit is the journaling cards. They are usually the first thing I go to when I am getting ready to create my project. I wanted to use the December card and the pink card with the red polka dots for this layout, and after choosing them, I was really inspired by one of the layout designs that Christine shared on the Cocoa Daisy YouTube channel.
I used the cards side-by-side at the top of my layout and then printed my larger photo to fit the same width below them. This created a great grid format, and then I was able to go from there and add in my title, journaling, and embellishments.
I was able to create a visual triangle on the layout, using one of the chipboard banners, some of the rub-ons, and a die-cut piece mixed with chipboard. I also wanted to add the 2022 numbers from the chipboard sheet over the larger photo (I did make a mistake and placed the numbers out of order, but we all make mistakes sometimes, and just have to go with it.)
To complete the layout, I placed a few of the enamel dots, to add a little sparkle. And I also brought in a couple of strips of the cute washi tape from the Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit.
