Hello, friends! Documenting your daily moments is fun and easy! Capture your memories in a planner or in a mini album and use the Autumn Thicket Collection to embellish.
Karma Isis Clark: Daily Planning
I am an avid daily planner. I mainly use a Hobonichi Cousin for documenting daily. I love mixing decorative touches with a ton of writing and I tend to fill each day’s page pretty easily these days with my busy new job!
The Autumn Thicket Collection is my jam! I have been using my Cousin in a Gillio Apunto Freddy all year long – which was an autumn release for them also – I just love everything autumn!
The Cocoa Daisy kits work so seamlessly in virtually every style and type of planner. The kits complement my full and busy days (like this one) and my more relaxed and less full days also! Don’t be afraid to mix up the kits and use elements that may not necessarily be positioned to “fit” your planner – they all really do work!
Ashley Horton: Daily Memory Keeping
Daily documenting is fun, no matter what format you choose to work in! I am catching up on my October Daily from 2021, and I am up to Day 23. This layout was all about the sweater! It was finally cool enough to wear sweaters for the humans and for the doggie! I am glad I didn't get to this page last year because the Autumn Thicket Collection was perfect for documenting these photos.
I decided to cut my photos and some of the patterned papers from the Autumn Thicket Modern Memory Keeping Kit into heart shapes. Then, I arranged them in a grid-style layout across both sides of my layout. I love a grid format using non-traditional shapes, and this style lets me have lots of space to add in some of the fun embellishments.
I mixed some of the die-cut leaf shapes with the chipboard pieces and enamel dots from the Autumn Thicket Modern Memory Keeping Kit to create texture and dimension in my layout.
Whether you're doing a daily album or daily planning, I hope you've found some inspiration from my layout, to use on your project! Check out this Instagram reel to see this spread come together!
Marsha Farris: Daily Seasonal Documenting
I create an October Daily album every year and enjoy documenting days throughout the month when I have fall or Halloween stories to tell. The Autumn Thicket Collection was perfect for this layout to document a recent photo of me wearing my fall t-shirt and enjoying a pumpkin spice coffee.
To begin the spread, I trimmed a woodgrain patterned paper from the Autumn Thicket Simple Dori into a tag shape and layered it onto another patterned paper from the collection. I finished the tag with one of the tag top stickers and some twine from my stash. I kept the page simple by adding only a leaf die cut and a chipboard leaf above the brush-lettered phrase.
For the other side of the spread, I trimmed a patterned paper from the Autumn Thicket Classified: Memory Keeping Kit to use as the background. The patterned paper had a fun printed detail along the edge, so I used my hole punch to add to the design and did some distressing for additional interest. I love the detail this adds to the page! Then, I layered chipboard and die-cut leaves around my photo and added some stamping using stamps from the Autumn Thicket Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and Autumn Thicket Modern Memory Keeping Kit.
Next, I printed my journaling onto a pocket card from the Autumn Thicket Modern Memory Keeping Kit, trimmed it into a tag shape, and added a tag top sticker to it. I adhered the tag to the bottom of the page to continue the design from the other side of the spread. To complete the layout, I added a leaf paper clip to the tag and included the date with a roller date stamp. I hope I have given you some ideas for using the Autumn Thicket Collection on your daily documenting projects! Happy creating!
