Greetings! We want to spread a little happiness and cheer today and we have two lovely designs from our design team that are sure to bring a smile to your face! Let's begin with a Tulip Time Traveler's Notebook kit design from Korrie-ann. "I think at this moment in time we all need a little reminder of how amazing we are and how much loved we are and to keep going, keep growing. The foliage on the pages reminded me of this photo of my daughter and was perfect for the layout I had in my head." "I took the striped paper and cut two pieces into 3 1/2 inch in height to make the panel across the centre of the two pages, then glued into place. Next, I layered my photo with the pocket card from the pocket memory keeping kit and glued both pieces onto the left hand panel." "Using the puffy stickers I made a little cluster in the bottom corner. These add a little dimension to the page without being to bulky. The pocket kit also has a sticker sheet with words/phrases. The "have I told you lately" sticker was perfect so I started with this one and then offset the others below it as my journaling." 'I used the blue alpha stickers from the memory keeping kit for my title, 'We are wild about you.' As this is a grid page I was able to use the grid line to keep my words level." "To finish off I used a couple of the butterflies and the plant pot from the memory keeping sticker kit. The leaves from the plant were going to go over the alpha sticker so I carefully peeled them back up, placed my sticker then just popped it back onto the page afterwards." Korrie-ann's layout is adorable and we love how she used stickers from the kit to create her journaling. The blue elements draw the viewer around the layout and the patterned paper placed across her design enforces the cohesiveness of Korrie-ann's layout. Next up is a memory planner layout Rachel created with the new Serengeti kits. "I absolutely love the June Serengeti kits with its amazing prints, patterns, colors and, of course, all the adorable furry friends that are featured. If you are interested in seeing more of this kit, I have an unboxing video up on my YouTube channel." For this spread, I am documenting a trip to see my husband’s sister and her family. Since we are spending most of the summer in Iowa, we have lots of opportunity to see family, which makes me so happy! And, as you can see, our little nephew has stolen our hearts!" "I started this layout by pulling inspiration from the sketch found in the Traveler’s Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. This sketch is also available on the website for purchase. I love these sketches and find them to be such a great 'creative kickstart.' I decided to focus my planner spread on one memory for the week. To create a foundation for my layout, I covered the weekly boxes with pattern paper from the TN Memory Keeping kit." "Next, I printed photo’s with my Canon Selphy Printer using the PicFrame app to make a four photo collage on a 4x6 print. For the photo grid, I strayed from the sketch a little and used three photos and a sticker from the Memory Keeping Sticker Kit." "Then I used a straight edge (in this case, my Happy Planner checklist stencil) to build my title using the alpha stickers from the Memory Keeping Classified Kit. This trick helps me align the letters and know how much room I have on the page before I place the alphas down. Once the title alphas are on the page, I used the script alphas for the subtitle/extension of the title." "The sketch suggested using a narrow journaling area. To create this, I used my stencil to make the lines, and then added the journaling. Next, I worked on the DIY arrow with a paper scrap leftover from trimming the background paper. I don’t make arrows much, so I was a little rusty, but I like how it turned out! This is a great way to use up paper scraps in your memory keeping!" "I added a few embellishments including word strips, enamel dots and washi to tie the whole layout together. I also added a date stamp on the label and turned it sideways next to the photo grid." "Lastly, I added paper photo corners (again, with the paper scraps) to the top and bottom of the photo grid." Rachel's grid layout is a lovely and we really like the creative way she used pattern paper from the Serengeti kits. There were several great tips shared too, including the way Rachel used the straight edge of a stencil to create her main title and those photo corners made from kit paper scraps!
