(Un)Pocket Pages with the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit

Hello, friends!

You have probably heard of pocket page scrapbooking, but have you heard of "un-pocket" pages? You can mix in some spreads outside of the page protectors in your albums, too!

Linda Jordan: (Un)Pocket Pages with the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit

One of my favorite things about the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit Chapters Pocket Card Add-on is its versatility with any scrapbooking style. I am working on filling in gaps in my 2023 6x8 stories album and thought this kit would be perfect for a recap of November. I paired a pocket page with a 6x8 outside of the page protector page.

I printed most of my photos as 2x2 inch squares and laid them out in a grid on one of the patterned papers from the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit to create my page base. Then, I had fun playing with the various pieces of the Chapters Scrapbooking Kit to fill in the remaining squares. The "November Stories" stamp worked perfectly as a title paired with one of the label stickers to add a few details. Finally, I loved the quote about a good book but didn't want to use a full 3x4 card from the Chapters Pocket Card Add-on on this side of the spread. I cut out the sentiment and added it as an embellishment in one of my 2x2 squares.

For the pocket page, I paired my favorite photo from the month with one of the 3x4 sentiment cards from the  Chapters Pocket Card Add-on that really resonated with me. Then I embellished both my photo + the pocket card with chipboard pieces from the set to add a little customization.

Finally, I wanted to fill the 4x6 pocket but didn't feel like any of the 4x6 cards from the kit particularly fit. So, instead, I created my own 4x6 card by trimming down one of the papers from the kit and layered it with pocket cards + die-cut pieces. Then, I added a bold title using the puffy alphas. Super thrilled with how this spread turned out + happy to have this recap in my album.
