 Hello Cocoa Daisy friends,
Here at Cocoa Daisy we want to inspire you with a mix of old and new ideas for using your kits. Adding pockets to our traveler's notebooks isn't a new idea but how we decorate them can be fresh and creative. Today the design team is sharing their ideas for embellishing pockets they created and embellished with our stamps. Let's begin with a creative design by Evy. "Last month I already mentioned to you that I am following some video courses to learn the basics of mixed media and in this project I am showing you the first results. On the left page I wanted to make the photos of the first 2 cards made with this technique the protagonists by simply adding a central diecuts." "On the right page, however, I created a pocket with the patterned paper identical to the background and embellished it with the photo cutout and this month's stamps. Inside the pocket I have inserted 2 tags as a caption." "It is a very simple and fast project that makes the photos protagonists and that will remind me of the first steps with this new technique." Next we have this soft and elegant design by Casie. "Hi there! I had a fun time creating a little stamp happy pocket for my traveler’s notebook. I loved the stamp that said 'just like the moon, we go through phases.'" "So fitting for these challenging times filled with the unknown. I tucked a little colorful tag inside the pocket along with the tiny purple bow paper clip." Our final design is from Melina. "My project today is raw. It needed to be. I needed torn edges and crumpled accents to go along with the content. Being sick is never fun. Memory keeping about the experience, well sometimes we just skip completely over it. I didn’t want to do that this time. But for me to be able to write down the raw emotion I’m feeling, I felt it best to tuck it away on a tag in this library pocket I made." "The torn elements of this project come from a notepad from the kits and washi tapes. I also removed a card stock sticker from it’s layers and crumpled it some before glueing it down there on the left page. I did a repeat stamp of “we were here” on my pocket, that will hold my journaling tag, before adding some sun bursts stamping here and there. My die cut cluster along with the puffy alpha stickers finished out my decorating before I drew on my doodling and did my writing." "Some memories aren’t fun but I still want to be able to look back on them to see how I overcame something I never thought I would."
