TN Tuesday: Creative Ideas for Incorporating Tags in Your Layout
Hello Friends! Today on the blog, we are sharing several ideas for incorporating tags into your Simple Dori Traveler’s Notebook pages. Tags are such a versatile decorative element. They can be used to decorate the outside of your insert, as a foundation for layers of photos, journaling, and embellishment. They can even be used to create mini-books inside your pages. Let’s have a look at what our Design Team created with tags from the Cranberry Rose Memory Keeping Classifed Kit. Our first layout is from April and she is sharing a few ways to embellish her pages with tags.

“Tags might be my newest obsession. It is such a fun, easy way to add a pop of color or layer some texture.

For my cover, I loved layering green tags with pops of red and the texture of wooden snowflakes.

I was also inspired to use tags to complete a November spread as well. When using tags, you don’t have to line them up perfectly. The offset look of the tags dancing off the page made this one of my favorite layouts.

We love how April created her own tags with the papers to embellishment her pages. Make sure to check out her process video, too! Next, we have a design using tags from Traci. ‚ÄúThis time of year, my memory keeping starts to get super abbreviated so what I love to do to prep for December Daily is to create pre-made embellishments! One of my favorite pre-made embellishments that I can just stick into any spread or Traveler's notebook page down the line are tags. For this pair of tags, I decided to use the lovely bright red ones included in the Classified Kit because my December Daily this year is red, blush, black and white. I added vellum, veneer, and sequin snowflakes to one tag and topped it with that cute "brrrr" acrylic piece. To make the other tag a journaling spot, I cut down the "our family traditions" journal card from the Pocket Memory Keeping Kit and topped it with chipboard hearts and enamel dots.‚Äù¬† Traci‚Äôs pre-made embellishment are a wonderful use for the kit tags and a great way to streamline your memory keeping during a busy time of year. Our final design is from Casie and she is sharing a fun, interactive element for her Simple Dori using tags. ‚ÄúI love tags! For this design, I created an accordion tag mini book to include in my December memories Simple Dori Traveler‚Äôs Notebook. I layered the Cranberry Rose Pattern Paper on the front of the tags and left the backs blank for a space to document everyone‚Äôs in the family's wish for Christmas. My hope is they will handwrite it themselves as a way to include their voice and handwriting in the album. I treasure handwritten notes! In my video, I walk you through how I created the design.‚Äù   We love how Casie was able to use the tags to make a mini book inside her notebook. https://youtu.be/JvYmyrVrCkQ Wow, so many great ideas for tags, don‚Äôt you think? How do you like to use tags with your memory keeping? Share your Traveler‚Äôs Notebook Memory Keeping Kit pages by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media or posting to the Cocoa Daisy Fan Page. Be well! ~Rachel
