How to Make Pocket Page Titles that Stand Out
Hello, friends! Our blog post today features ways to create titles that stand out on your pocket page spreads. There are many approaches to creating titles for your pocket pages. A pocket card or embellishment from the Pocket Page Memory Keeping Kit could be the inspiration for your title. Maybe the title is the last thing you create and is inspired by the photos and journaling on your pages. In either case, the title informs others what the spread is about. During this season, many memory keepers are preparing albums and mini books to document their December stories. In today’s post, we will hear from two design team members that created several standout titles for the foundation of their December albums. First, let’s see how Robin used Pocket Cards to create eye-catching titles. “I love to make page titles out of pocket cards. There are so many ways you can make them unique to you and your story. A bonus is that embellishing your pocket cards doesn’t take a lot of time. I created these titles for several foundation pages I made in my December Stories album. They are fairly generic so that I can tell almost any story I want with them.  My favorite pocket card title is the ‘This Story’ card. I had a lot of fun stitching the vellum onto the card and those puffy alpha stickers from the Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit are my favorite! The alphas are the perfect size for creating title for pocket cards and traveler’s notebook pages!” We love how Robin was inspired by the pocket cards in the Pocket Memory Keeping Kit to create the foundation for her titles. Next, we have Casie sharing her custom title for December Album. “I wanted a bold opening page for my December memory keeping 6x8 pocket page albums. I started with the 4x6 December Memories pocket card and added layers of texture on the card with washi and red ribbon. I mimicked those layers in the top left pocket card using the ribbon again along with the title chipboard.  I finished the design using the word HOPE. I chose this as my word for my December album because I want to finish out the year 2020 with a little hope!” We love how Casie paired a bold title with delicate embellished layers on the pocket cars. This makes such a beautiful introduction to her December album. Titles can be as grand or as simple as you like. We encourage you to use your Pocket Memory Keeping Kits and experiment with titles on your memory keeping pages. Don’t forget to share with us by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media. ~ Be Well Rachel
